Amy Hayutin Contreras
Amy received her B.A., magna cum laude, in Child Development with a minor in Italian and earned her Massachusetts teacher’s certification from Tufts University in 1994. Since 2005, Amy joined her brother as co-owner of Hayutin & Associates. In addition to working closely with families and co-managing our company, Amy spearheads our business affairs and outreach. She also co-manages our tutoring team by hiring, training, and providing ongoing clinical supervision. Amy loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, and carves out a little time each week for life sculpting.
In her past lives, Amy served with the Peace Corps in Costa Rica, where she developed and taught pre-K through 12 educational programming, taught preschool and high school sex education and AIDS prevention. She also conducted home visits with her students’ families and conducted teacher and parent workshops on both educational and child development/parenting related topics. She has also worked in the non-profit sector with NCJW/LA, where she trained and supervised tutors helping teen mothers, the homeless and at-risk youth. And then there was her six-year practice as a Pilates trainer and studio owner. Breathe.
